How did you start your business?
I joined my family business after marriage. Me and my husband are the third generation in our paper printing and packaging company.
Can you give us a brief introduction about your brand/company?
K.Joshi & Co. started in 1937 as a block making unit. Late Govind Appaji Joshi started the company in 1937. His son Ratnakar Govind Joshi continued with block making and diversified into letter press printing in 1956 and 2 colour Heidelberg Offset printing in 1983 .The company saw many technological advancements and we stand here today with a full-fledged pre-press, press and post press machinery for printing and packaging .We have facilities like UV printing, MET PET, Foiling, Embossing and many more all under one roof. Our list of products includes Books, Brochures, Diaries, Calendars, Rigid boxes, Paper bags, Mono cartons etc. Basically we do anything and everything in commercial printing and packaging in paper.
How do you differentiate your business in the market?
We are not only printers but we are consultants. We focus on concept selling rather than product selling. So we do hand holding to the customer right from designing up to the finished product. We ensure that the customer gets suitable product.
How do you keep yourself updated on your business?
Seminars and regularly visiting exhibitions both domestic and international keep us updated on the technological front.
Benefits of your services to the society
Our motive is not only to do business but to help and guide customers for their packaging needs. We take utmost care that the customer’s packaging should be attractive, explanatory, safe, eco-friendly, sustainable, recyclable, and reusable.
What advice would you give to someone just starting their own business?
You should be absolutely passionate about the business you wish to start. Business is a roller coaster ride. Any business needs 3 years to mature and get stable. So be patient. Come what may you should not lose hope and simply work towards achieving your goals.
