P. P. Enterprises, a pioneer in the field of Industrial Degreasing/Cleaning Chemicals, was started by my father late Shri Yeshwant Panse in 1986. I graduated with degree in computer engineering in 1990 and started working with a IT start up working on medical diagnostic systems. My father suffered a stroke in 1991, that’s when I started looking into operations of P. P. Enterprises. Unfortunately, we lost him in 1993 and then I was officially a part of PPE. I had quit my job as I could not work on 3 fronts at a time – working at the start up, looking after the business and attend a part time MBA program.
P. P. Enterprises provides degreasing/cleaning products and/or solutions to any metal cleaning application. Our major forte is catering to automotive and power generation industry (Industrial power houses as well as Solar). Our chemicals offer cleaning for removal of oil, grease, carbon, paint, rust, and water scales etc. from any metal. Engine cleaning is a very critical factor in automotive industry on the manufacturing side and service centers both. We do get some challenging jobs on metal cleaning and I am proud to state that 99% we provide a solution for those. Our Solar panel cleaning solution facilitates quick and easy cleaning thereby helping the panel generate optimum output. In a nutshell we facilitate optimum power generation in all applications.
All engines, from Two Wheelers to Marine Engines, forklifts, earth moving equipment, railways, aircrafts, Generators and Defense vehicle engines all need quality cleaning for optimum performance and longer life. There are many companies manufacturing metal components for various industries that require very critical cleaning which is facilitated by our products. We supply all over India and export to UAE and South Africa. We are currently working on developing a distributor network in India and abroad.
Our tagline is ‘Hard on Dirt & Mild on Metal’. It is very important that when the chemicals are working on the grime, the metal should not be affected. I would like to highlight here that although we have a product basket, our approach is to understand the real pain points of our customer. We study the customers SOPs and then offer a studied solution which sometimes has to be coupled with cleaning equipment. Being in this field for more than 30 years gives me a better perspective to address the problem and hence can offer a perfect solution to help our customer get the desired results. We provide handholding till the customer is comfortable using our product and following the SOPs.
We keep an eye on what is happening in the Industrial cleaning sector. This is done by searching/researching the internet. Monitoring social media platforms helps to gather insights into current market. Keep close connect with customers. Check for their needs/pain points and preferences. This way we can offer them new product or modify existing to overcome their challenges. Last but not the least; we allocate resources to Research and Development efforts to innovate new products that meet the evolving market and technologies.
At the outset I would congratulate on their decision to start on their own. Some points of utmost importance:
- Identify your idea/vision, mission and goal very clearly. Define short term and long term goals.
- Prepare a projected balance sheet for 3 years.
- Work out finances on the project along with the required skilled manpower (very important!). Do not hesitate to invest in manpower and seeking a mentor.
- Be ready to adapt to the ever changing market.
- Keep the pace with the evolving technology.
- Lastly and forever…Be positive and keep working on self-development.
