Project Report of Cataract surgeries for needy patients.

Cataract surgeries for needy patients, under the global grant obtained by RCP Parvati, for ‘Vision 2500 – Cataract Surgery Project_2021’ are progressing at H V. Desai eye hospital. This humanitarian Global Grant project is intended to:

• Conduct awareness cum eye check-up camps in target community
• Identify treatable patients and counsel to undergo treatment
• Conduct complete treatment and surgery to treat the cataract. Last year Dist 3131 thrust area was to carry out 10,000 cataract surgeries. Our club – RCP Parvati – is also supporting this activity.

The project was taken on 19th Nov’21. Till date, a total 1750 cataract surgeries out of 2880 surgeries have been carried out. Synergy partners for this grant are RCP Central, and RCP Pristine.
