Meet Deepa Ranade of Vivid Events.

How did you start your business?
I have always been passionate about the fashion industry. Hence, despite my education in electronics engineering, I decided to follow my heart and pursued an event management course. I went ahead to establish an event management company in partnership with my dear friend Manisha Pathak. Our first event was organizing a live concert for veteran singer Shankar Mahadevan. The successful planning and execution of this event gave my company the launch it needed to enter this industry and there has been no looking back since then.

Can you give us a brief introduction about your brand/company?
Vivid Events established in 2008, is one of the most successful, professional event management company, managing private, public, and corporate events efficiently across Maharashtra. From conceptualization to execution, we manage a variety of events such as Live Concerts, Musical Fests, Fashion Shows, Product Launches, Trainings, Weddings, Sangeet, Birthday Parties, Baby showers etc. We offer budget weddings as well as the big fat wedding of your dreams.

How do you differentiate your business in the market? (USP)
Firstly, I try to provide at least 1 extra element in addition to what my clients have requested or present a unique theme for their event which makes it extraordinary and memorable. Secondly, I provide every possible service under one roof which makes it convenient for the client to have a hassle-free event. Thirdly, I provide customized packages which allows my clients to choose services as per their requirements and budgets while experiencing our superlative offerings.

How do you keep yourself updated on your business?
Being a part of the Event managers’ Guild gives me insights into the latest market trends and client requirements through healthy competition and discussions. I also attend events organized by my peers so that their work can inspire me to be more creative.

Benefits of your service to the society?
I believe that by organizing these events we, Vivid Events, take the burden of planning events off people’s shoulders, allowing them to enjoy their event wholeheartedly, thus spreading joy and happiness. We also hire local numerous vendors near our venues, creating employment opportunities for a diverse range of professionals and support staff. By providing jobs and career opportunities, we contribute to economic growth and stability.

What advice would you give to someone just starting their own business?
I believe that you must follow your passion, however unconventional, and not be afraid to make it your career. When you dedicate all your efforts to your field of interest you are bound to succeed. Don’t be satisfied with the small things. Dare to dream big and work hard to make those dreams come true. My advice to young women entrepreneurs would be to give equal importance and precedence to their work and their personal life. Don’t sacrifice one for the other; maintain a balance. We need more businesswomen in all fields today.
