Meet Dr. Arati Shahade Diabetologist & Physician

How did you start your business?

Arati Shahade inherited the business from her father-in-law, which was established in Pune in the mid-70s. Her husband, Dr. Ambreesh Shahade, also became a surgeon, and she started her career in the mid-90s. The clinic was initially a surgical nursing home, which she later converted into a multispecialty hospital.

Can you give us a brief introduction about your brand/company?

Our company was founded by Dr. Mukund Shahade, a well-known surgeon. Over the years, we have expanded our services, bringing in physicians from various specialties, making it a multispeciality hospital. Dr. Arati Shahde herself has a certification in diabetology from premier institutions and is an executive council member of diabetic foot society for the last 8 years. With a history spanning more than 50 years, our focus has always been on providing affordable and accessible healthcare. We go out of our way to help patients, and beyond our professional capacity, patient welfare always comes first.

How do you differentiate your business in the market?

Our unique selling proposition (USP) lies in our ability to treat three generations of families over the past five decades. We’re known for being not just a healthcare provider but a partner in the well-being of our patients. We offer a personalised touch and take the extra mile to ensure the best care. Our long-standing reputation for exceptional patient care sets us apart. We are not in this to make money but to provide welfare and aid our patients’ pain.

How do you keep yourself updated on your business?

We see this as more than just a business; it’s a calling. As healthcare providers, we constantly undergo training and education to stay updated. Dr. Arati Shahade pursued a CMCS Vellore fellowship in infectious diseases in 2022 and has multiple publications nationally and internationally. She also serves as a resource person in various medical forums and mentor physicians, both in and out of Pune. With today’s fast paced technological advances, we believe that it is imperative to keep ourselves in touch with all the new facets of the business, to provide our patients with the best care

The benefits of our services extend beyond direct patient care. We employ a significant number of staff, many unskilled , investing in their training and making them employable.
