Jui Ajay Rajurkar of JAR teaches art and painting with an object. And what’s that? Read to know!
A picture is worth a thousand pictures. That said, most of humanity aren’t exactly great painters of any kinds. Though we have it in us till a very young age, we lose it along the way while focussing on more important aspects of the “Art of (Making a) Living”! Yes, we are born artists but our preferences and upbringing, and those around us either heighten out sense or kill it completely. It isn’t the case that you ought to be born in a painter-family to be great at it. No, nothing of the sort comes from the DNA in our blood. It’s more to do with the DNA in the brains- something that Jui Ajay Rajurkar is really good at helping people bring out.
Jui a painter and an artist of some repute went solo with her own concern quite some time back and subsequently got into canvas paintings in 2014. Aptly called JAR, an acronym for her own name, she and the team at JAR teach students (who incidentally could be anyone from anywhere of any age, background, education or vocation) be it the very young to the absolute weathered geriatrics all there is in the world of arts and crafts. This includes giving them the liberty of gaining hand-on experience in the field with their own creations with JAR’s backing, encouragement and support at all time till they are with them. And boy have they been successful! In the short span of less than a decade of their existence, JAR has a jarful of successful artists who have gone ahead and created their own line of work that continually expresses and inspires the world.
Speaking of Jui and her team at JAR, their main focus for their budding artists is to teach and curating painted canvases. Things at JAR don’t stop at paintings but extend to others like trinkets and little items like key-chains , to-do boards fridge magnets, key holder and many more. Theirs’ is a never-ending list of items that they help people make, and retail at great prices to the world.
As for Jui, her love for her hobby-turned-profession goes beyond doing things for an income. She was awarded a Consolation Certificate by none other than the world-reputed Guinness Books of World Records at the world’s biggest art competition. That aside she has participated in various painting and drawing competitions and has won numerous awards that attests to her skills and interests. If you think it has always been paintings, be informed that this is one artist who treats free-time as anything but free and makes use of it to learn something new and creative in her field!
While teaching other the “art of painting, sketching and illustrating”, what Jui would want ideally is to present her unique form of expressing and upping her business to international levels besides turning it into a commercial business that has its own line of canvas paintings. She has a surprising reason for the same! “So that people replace plastic products besides changing their perspective towards art”!
Truly an inspiration she remains with her unique work and even more unique objective that is slowly getting the recognition she rightly deserves.
