Food processing industry in India has been growing at a faster pace as a lot of entrepreneurs are showing interest in this sector. However, the lack of technical knowledge as well as hand-holding support is curbing budding entrepreneurs from flourishing their business in this realm. 

Food Monk Consultant is a brainchild of Ms. Bhagyashri who hails from a food technology background. With an inquisitive mind to explore and develop food products, she aspires to cater to the need of entrepreneurs. Having an industry experience of over 15 years, she is willing to fill the technical knowledge gap in the food industry by providing her expertise to help entrepreneurs establish their businesses.

A  B.Tech, Food Technology from North Maharashtra University, Bhagyashri had her stint with known organizations before Food Monk Consultants came about. It included working with Jain Irrigation handling their pomegranate processing plant, being the R & D Manager at Good Juicery pvt ltd, where she developed sugar-free nectar and preservative free iced teas, being a Freelance Food Consultant & entrepreneurship development trainer, and ending with being the founder of Food Monk Consultants.

At FMC, they focus on thoroughly understanding the client’s concept at the outset. They further study the Science behind it and work towards the commercialization of products. Where the experience matters and Bhagyashri’s decade & half experience in various product developments comes there in picture. May it be dairy or spices or beverage or confectionary or bakery she has the vast knowledge and hence

 She provides her expertise in the following ways:

  • Conducting R & D to bring about new products
  • Providing turnkey solutions in food production, including the setting up and improvement of manufacturing units
  • Providing solutions for improving products’ shelf-life
  • Suggesting improvements in packaging
  • Conducting complete “Concept to commercialization” cycle for products
  • Providing in-depth training in GMP (Good manufacturing practices), GHP (Good Hygienic practices) and food safety.

Her services benefit her customers in a variety of ways, including:

  • Helping generate employment with processed food being the future of India and most of all
  • Helping women entrepreneurs (who form close to 90% of her clientele) become independent with their own enterprises.
