It is said of ‘Jyotish Vidya’, Sanskrit for Astrology, that it is a language which, if understood, the heaven speaks to you!

Most don’t understand it or make an effort to. She does, and does so very well. And for that, people come to her in droves! Jyotishi Mrs. Sulakshna Laxmikant Kshirsagar. With a decade and a half of experience behind her, she is unlike others in her trade. Meeting her for the first time, you could easily mistake her for a Banker, which she was with none other than Citi Bank before the stars got her!

With her father in the Indian Navy and mother a housewife, she and her siblings had a modest upbringing, which would otherwise have driven people to a ‘career’. Her brother, as a matter of fact, took that route and is today in an enviable position with Google Inc in the US! She though had other plans- despite a Diploma in Finance from the famed Welingkar Institute of Mumbai and an M Com. With occult, mysticism, and stars attracting her from a very young age, she took the plunge into Astrology way back in the year 2000. What brought about this momentous turn was an innocuous ad in the newspaper about a course in the subject. Arriving at the doorstep of her guru, the acclaimed Dr. DG Sawant of Thane, she was sure she wanted to be in the field for the rest of her life. Working under him as an apprentice for a couple of years, she learnt all about reading the ‘Patrika,’ Sanskrit for Horoscope, and giving accurate predictions.

In the year 2003, she decided to branch out on her own and started off giving free consultation in reading Patrikas and Vaastu-related remedies. With crowds swelling and people coming from afar, she found herself short of time for everything dear to her like being with the family and looking after them. It was then that she started to charge a fee for her services. Not that it affected her reputation! It only grew but among those who were serious about her advices and their worth!

Today she is an acknowledged and acclaimed authority in her areas of interest, which are Patrika-related consultations, Vaastu consultations, and Gemstones. For the first two, she looks into the details personally and suggests her own time-tested remedies. From her own admission, she has examined close to 16000 Patrikas besides visiting 450+ sites for Vastu-related consultations! As for gemstones, she suggests the best options after looking into all aspects, including the Patrika, and lets her associates take care of shaping and sizing them. Her gemstones have as a matter of interest, reached foreign shores as far away as Dubai, Australia, the US, and the UK! In India, her clients are spread all over the country, with their numbers growing with each passing day.

As to why she thinks her services are essential, she puts it down to people’s need for a good, stable life. Life, as we are all aware, is all about problems, most of which we cannot wish away. For these, she has remedies that include a mix of predictions, prescriptions, and gemstones. Besides bad karma and problems otherwise, she opines that wrongs are inadvertently committed due to oversite, which too need to be corrected. The best of building under the best of Architects, she says, retain ‘doshas’, which need to be corrected using Vaastu. A stroll in the park or even a breath could kill a life form as small as an ant. These are unavoidable and call for remedies which thankfully, she has in plenty, and which remain equally effective- up to 97% according to her!
Her forte, she says, is giving daily predictions which very few do. Besides, she is also an expert with Gemstones, given her interest in cosmic energies and how they affect our aura. Everyone desires a perfect aura, but few have it, she says. And that’s because in our daily lives we go about doing things that destroy or tarnish our it and with it, our chances of growth and betterment. One of the best and most desirable ways to maintain and enhance an aura is to wear the right kind of gemstones, which are said to attract cosmic energies, filter them the way a crystal filters light, and pass it on to our bodies.

Part of the reason behind her success is also her undying interest in interacting with people and solving their problems, which she says comes naturally to her. From her days as a banker to the present, she is ever ready to help people find peace in life- precisely the reason her family sometimes isn’t on the same page as her. With troubles coming uninvited, so too her clients and their demands, which initially she found difficult to pace. In her husband, thankfully she has found her perfect pillar of silent support! An engineer by qualification and presently employed as a General Manager with Walchandnagar Industries, Mr. Laxmikant Kshirsagar is there, and also not there, a trait she finds most helpful. Her children, son Darshan, a student of electrical engineering at MIT, and daughter Bhakti, a student of commerce at BMCC, do acknowledge their mother’s work and the positives it has brought to their lives.

At this point, she is in her happy state with appreciation and support coming from people who matter, i.e., her clients and all those they bring along. The stars do seem to have done their bit in bringing her much-needed recognition, which from the looks of it, will continue for quite some time.

Her advice for everyone, including business people and entrepreneurs, is to work hard, do their best, remain positive and consult the occult because what you cannot see may sometimes have the perfect solution for all of life’s problems, including business.
