From Village Roots to National Safety Revolution

Mr. Ashok D. Shinde
Director, PARS Techso India Pvt. Ltd.

Humble Beginnings, Big Dreams
Born in Alkuti (Mhaskewadi), a small farming village in Ahmednagar district, Ashok had no entrepreneurial role models or financial stability. But he had one thing that changed everything: an unshakable will to rise. After completing his schooling from a local Zilla Parishad school, he earned a BSc in Chemistry while working under the “earn and learn” scheme in Pune’s Alephata region.
He later moved to Mumbai for work, joining an environmental lab where he performed soil, air, and water pollution testing. This exposure to sustainability sparked a passion for industrial safety, prompting him to pursue an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety—laying the foundation for his future path.

Climbing the Ladder of Safety
Ashok’s early roles as a Safety Officer helped him build ground-level understanding. His move to Tata Motors in Pune was pivotal, and by 2011, he had joined global companies like Konecranes and Stanley Black & Decker, who quickly recognized his capabilities.
Determined to stay ahead, he pursued an MBA in Energy Management, an Advanced Diploma in Fire Safety Engineering, and several technical certifications. He rose rapidly, managing safety operations not just across India but also in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. By 2019, he was leading corporate safety programs from Singapore, heading Asia-Pacific operations.

From Skoda, Tata Steel, JSW Paints, and Mahindra & Mahindra to Kirloskar, Sigma Electric, and Rolls Royce (MTU), PARS Techso’s clientele is vast and growing. The company’s reputation is built on trust, transparency, and technical excellence, helping companies not just meet compliance—but create genuinely safer workplaces.
Their hardware is locally sourced wherever possible, but for specialized needs like vibration control, ergonomics, and pollution monitoring, they also import globally certified solutions.

Safety as a Culture, Not a Checklist
What sets Ashok apart isn’t just technical expertise—it’s his philosophy. He believes safety is a culture, not a product. His dream is to build an India where safety awareness begins at home and extends into schools, offices, and industries.
To spread this message, he regularly organizes awareness camps, especially for women, students, senior citizens, and public servants. Some of these sessions are conducted free of charge. He also trains municipal officers, facility managers, and housing society representatives in practical emergency preparedness.

Challenges, Lessons & the Road Ahead
Ashok’s entrepreneurial journey hasn’t been without challenges—from financial constraints and low public awareness to operational hurdles. But he sees each obstacle as a learning opportunity.

Looking ahead, Ashok envisions his firm becoming the go-to name in integrated fire, medical, and industrial safety solutions. With plans to expand into tier-2 cities, he aims to bridge the safety awareness gap in emerging industrial hubs across India.

From a modest village to heading Asia-Pacific safety operations, and now leading one of India’s most dynamic safety enterprises—Ashok D. Shinde’s journey is a lesson in vision, resilience, and service. Through PARS, he’s not just building safer businesses—he’s building a safety-first India.
