Meet Rachana Bhavsar of Decoreer

How did you start your business?
I started My journey at the age of 20 when I was pursuing Degree in Science, I ventured into this realm of creativity inherited from my mother, whose unwavering support fuelled my aspirations. It was my time with my childhood where my enthusiasm for tints and tinctures of colors enhanced my interest towards my own world of art & articles. My journey begins with panting on Paper, Glass & wood, I went through long term research & hard work, where I started creating some unique style of my own art with vibrant colours, which is further implemented in terracotta potteries, different articles made up of wooden & wrought iron. later I took participation in exhibition organized by MP Govt in 1998 with my own creations, it was official beginning of my handicraft business “DCOREER”
It was the initial stage of Handicraft business  where My art is recognized by Govt authorities and public in the exhibition. This boosted me for innovating different work on my pestle art and thus my Art noticed in Locally & Globally and awarded in 2003 by MP GOVT.

Our handicraft articles manufacturing company” DECOREER” is a business that specializes in production of  unique and handcrafted products. We prioritize craftsmanship, creativity, and tradition in our manufacturing processes. Handicrafts encompass a wide range of items, including Terracotta pottery, Diwali Diyas , Wooden ‘Chourange’, Pooja items,  jewellery, home décor, wooden Pens stand , Freeze Magnets, Keychain, Wall hanging, Wind chains, Strings,  Photo frame, flute, Decorative Mirror & Wall Clocks  and many more. In essence, “DECOREER” epitomizes the allure of handcrafted goods, celebrating tradition, individuality, and artistic expression, particularly in the realm of home decor. Through our endeavors, we not only contribute to the economic prosperity of artisans and communities but also champion the timeless beauty of handmade craftsmanship.

We prioritize eco-friendly materials with Vibrant colours & long-lasting Washable material.

How do you keep yourself updated on your business?
We stay updated and thrive in our business by following these strategies:
We prefer Continuous survey of current trends and customer preferences, we often Participate in craft fairs organised by government as well as private exhibitors, create networks with other artists along with one-to-one communication with customers.
Maintaining strong online presence on social media, various E-commerce platforms.
Expand our product range by creating new designs or offering custom-made items to appeal to a broader customer base.
We ensure high-quality craftsmanship and consistency in our work to build a strong reputation in handicraft market.

Benefits of your services to the society?
Our moto is working for women empowerment and finding needy women those are creative & have love for colours.  We train them with traditional handicraft work, which enable them for being further individual financial supporter of their families. Until today we trained 300 + women. Here in “DECOREER” Artists develop and refine their craft skills, which can be passed down to future generations. These skills contribute to the overall skill development in society. We use sustainable and eco-friendly materials and practices in our work, promoting environmental responsibility and awareness. Engaging in creative activities can promote mental well-being and reduce stress, benefiting both the artists and art lovers and customers who appreciate their work. We somehow attract tourists interested in local culture and traditions, contributing to the tourism industry and cultural exchange. We often provide opportunities for art education and skill development programs, enriching the community’s artistic and cultural knowledge

What advice would you give to someone just starting their own business?
Here are some advisable steps for artists who are just getting started:
Identify your specific style, medium, or genre as an artist. Build a strong portfolio showcasing your best. Define your short-term and long-term goals for your art business. Having a clear vision will guide your efforts. Create a unique brand identity and use social media, online platforms to market your work. Engage with your audience and network with other artizens . Consider selling your art through online marketplaces or setting up an e-commerce store. Participate in local art exhibitions and events to gain exposure
