1st January, 2019 was merely the first date of a new year for many of us. For Mr. Vinayak Vaze, it was the 20th Anniversary of his successful firm, viz. ‘Vaze Placement Services’.

Before starting with his own placement agency, Mr. Vaze worked in multi-national companies like Larsen & Toubro and Bajaj Auto. He has vast experience in the field of law and management. His last employment was in Pudamjee Paper Mills as Manager (Administration). He was dwelling upon a few ideas which he would pursue. But he was certain about one thing- whatever he would do; it would serve some social cause.

Mr. Vaze is a Law Graduate. During his employment he had been drafting deeds, handling legal matters and interacting with corporate lawyers regularly. Hence, pursuing the career as a Practicing Lawyer was most logical. However, the profession of a Lawyer entails making untrue arguments and interpretation of wrong and right not based on facts, but based on which side he is representing. The working as a Pleader did not look very ideal to Mr. Vaze. Hence, he was on the look-out for fresh ideas. He happened to discuss these thoughts with two of his friends.

Throughout his career, Mr. Vaze had been taking interviews of candidates and selecting the right ones for his Company. His friends suggested that he should take the same experience further and start a placement agency of his own. He pondered over the idea. Placing an unemployed person in a job, enabling him to earn income, or offering an existing employee a better job opportunity involved happiness and satisfaction to all parties involved. He reasoned that, with this profession, he would offer jobs to the right candidate, so the candidate will be happy; the employer would also be happy, because he would get a good employee for his organization; and he himself would also get remuneration for the services provided. All in all, it was not only a win-win situation as described by the Management guru, Peter Drucker; but a win-win-win situation. Thus started ‘Vaze Placement Services’ and Mr. Vaze became the ‘creator of happiness’. The very motto of Vaze Placement is “CREATING HAPPINESS.’’

The foundation of the profession of Placement Services is Trust. From day one, one Mr. Vaze has been very professional and straight in his thinking. There are no hidden promises given to employers, no false guarantees given to prospective employees, and otherwise enticing. Attractions like commissions or extra payments have always been kept at bay. Instead, all facts are kept on the table and there is a firm and clear approach. Since the ground rules were rock-solid, Vaze Placement Services became a name of trust within no time. Initially, Mr. Vaze used his contacts to let them know about his new profession. Goodwill goes around. Thereafter, it has been a steady flow of clients all along, for a period of 20 years now. Vaze Placement Services has been topping the list of ‘Placement Agency’ searches on the internet for last many years. This is an achievement in itself and speaks volumes about the Agency.

Mr. Vaze also has his own screening process, whereby he scans the prospective employee thoroughly, before recommending him further. Due to this, employers totally rely on Mr. Vaze. Since Mr. Vaze was working in the corporate field for a long time, when he started his own firm, he maintained the same discipline and hierarchy.
